Heath Ledger is dead?

My volunteer friend Annie recently informed me that Heath Ledger is dead. No piece of information in the past five and a half months in Ukraine has made me feel more cut off from my previous life. The fact that this happened over a month ago (two months ago now?) absolutely blows my mind. This piece of information has led me to realize that I am going to be completely lost in two years in terms of books, movies and pop culture. On a good note, maybe Kiss 108 and other similar stations will actually be playing something "new" (to my ears at least) by the time I get back. That will be refreshing.

A second title I considered for this blog entry was "the time I ate two pounds of peanut butter in four days." That one is pretty self-explanatory. Suffice it to say, it was a spectacular four days. Thank you Karen Sullivan.

Otherwise things continue to go well. I'm sorry that I worried some of you about my apartment. Yes, it sucks at times, but this is the Peace Corps after all :)

Miss you all, Happy Spring!

Caitlin,
Hello from the Neslines! We are enjoying reading about your excellent adventure. We admire you for giving up so much of your time and creature comforts to help others. I am sure the things you learn will stick with you for your entire life!
And you can keep exploring new worlds even when you get to be as ancient as your parents. I am sitting in a hotel in Vizag, India, getting ready to meet with a team of software developers here. India is culturally fascinating, but hygienically terrifying!

Hey Caitlin-
Good to hear from you.
Yes-isn't it sad about Heath? Accidential drug overdose. Guess there won't be a Brokeback Mountain sequel!!!
Other points of Pop Culture interest: JLo and Mark A had twins (a boy and girl). The Govenor of NY just had to resign as he was a customer of a high price prostitution service. Matt Damon is expecting his 2nd child. Angelina Jolie and Brad are expecting again (rumors are that they may be having twins, which if they do would make 6 children).
Amanda is a People Mag subscriber, so we'll be sure to send you some.
Baseball/softball tryouts start next wk, so relaxation time is over.
How are your plans coming for the Easter celebration?
Miss you and love you,
Aunt Terry
